To make quality maritime training accessible, approachable and adapted to each student's own pace, replacing isolated rote learning with a practical, guided and personalised experience powered by artificial intelligence, so that exam preparation stops being an obstacle and becomes a solid, lasting learning experience.

academIA was born from the observation that many candidates sitting maritime qualification exams arrive with very little real practice handling the radio, radar or navigation chart, tools that prove decisive in the practical part of the assessment. From that observation, a set of simulators faithful to official procedures was developed, complemented by an artificial intelligence tutor able to explain every mistake immediately, gradually giving rise to the platform known today as academIA, in constant evolution alongside the needs of students and academies.

We believe in technical rigour as the foundation of any training process related to maritime safety, in the accessibility of quality training regardless of a student's geographic location, and in the responsible use of artificial intelligence as a learning support tool, never as a substitute for professional judgement or for the formal training required under current regulations.

Behind academIA works a multidisciplinary team combining experience in navigation, pedagogy and technology development applied to education, together with the collaboration of maritime instructors who periodically review and validate the training content and practice scenarios built into the simulators, to ensure their fidelity to the real procedures and requirements of each qualification.
